| Description: The Yankee Lake Regional Wastewater Treatment Facility is a state-of-the-art system enabling the preservation of a 3,000 acre pristine wildlife area along the St. Johns river. The system includes natural wetland effluent disposal, reclaimed irrigation, and Rapid Infiltration Basins (RIBs). The Project provides Seminole County with a water treatment facility that extracts raw water, seven miles away, from the St. Johns River and then treats it to meet reclaim water quality standards. The Project also includes a Kruger Actiflo Process, belt filter press system and polymer system. Pre-engineered and pre-fabricated structures, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, grading, paving and road construction, installation of a prestressed ground storage tank, electronic perimeter fencing and miscellaneous appurtenances. New conduit systems required for the future FP&L substation expansion and adding a nature walk from the existing trails to the St John's River. . |
