Description: This project enabled Peace River/Manasota RWSA to intake a total of 24 MG of surface water from the Peace River and distribute it for drinking water to a 4 county area. Work included Powder Activated Carbon (PAC) Contact Tanks, Rapid Mix Tanks, Solids Contact Units, Chlorine Contact Tanks, Filters, Ground Storage Tanks, Sludge Thickener and Belt Filter Press Dewatering. Construction of a new Transfer, Recycle and North High Service Pump station and modifications/upgrades to existing River, Reservoir and South High Service pump stations. Construction of a new support facility including chemical storage/feed, maintenance building, electrical systems and emergency generators. Other work included various demolition and modifications to existing systems and facilities, as well as grading, paving, stormwater ponds and yard piping. Encore self-performed 52% of the work including piping, concrete, metals, painting, process equipment and piping installation.
